Mr. Gagara Katiella holds a M.P.H. degree from Fort Valley State University, GA, and has 20 years of experience in CLA, Capacity Development, Institutional Communication, Program Communication, and Project Management. He started his career in radio broadcasting in 1997 as a producer, followed by the responsibility of Radio Director, before transitioning into Relief and Development. He worked for several international NGOs in West Africa (Niger, Ghana, Guinea and Burkina Faso, Niger and Mali).
Mr. Gagara Katiella worked as Executive Director and Vice President for Development for a Columbia, SC – based 501c3 organization named Kirker African Medical Relief Association (KAMRA) from 2012 to 2017.
He then worked for IBTCI as Communications Adviser under the USAID/Evidence for Development Program in Ghana, operationalizing its communication strategy and building the capacities of recipient groups in Burkina Faso, Benin, Côte d\'Ivoire, Mauritania, Niger, and Togo.
From 2017 to 2019, Mr. Gagara Katiella worked with Cultivating New Frontiers in Agriculture in Guinea and successively worked as Communication and Collaboration Officer and Acting Chief of Party for the Strengthening Agricultural Value Chains and Youth Project. Mr. Gagara Katiella also worked as a Development Outreach and Communication Specialist for the USAID/Guinea & Sierra Leone Mission.
Mr. Gagara Katiella\'s extensive work experience features work as Strategic Learning Specialist with NCBA CLUSA under the REGIS-ER Program, Strategic Learning Lead with CARE under the Niger Hamzari RFSA, and Senior CLA and Capacity Development Lead with Social Impact under the USAID/Mali Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Platform.
