Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) - Kenya

Job Description

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist is responsible for designing and implementing the program’s performance monitoring framework, ensuring alignment with USDA Food for Progress indicators and compliance requirements. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and reporting data to track program impacts, improve performance, and provide actionable insights for program decision-making.

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, International Development, Monitoring and Evaluation, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience designing and implementing M&E systems for USDA or other donor-funded programs.
  • Proven track record in analyzing data and generating insights to improve program performance.
  • Familiarity with USDA performance indicators, reporting requirements, and compliance frameworks.
  • Skills:
  • Expertise in data collection and analysis tools, including statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, or R).
  • Advanced reporting and documentation skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and training skills to build local capacity and engage stakeholders.

Languages

  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is highly desirable.
